Pre-insulated (PI) ductwork is fabricated from rigid insulation panels with factory-applied facings, so the duct and its insulation are installed as one unit. Tawreed fabricates PI duct at its factory in Birkat Al Awamer, Qatar, with two core options: phenolic and PIR.
Our phenolic duct is fabricated from WellWall phenolic duct board. The supplied documentation for this board includes UL 181 certification as a Class 1 air duct (UL file MH63347, certificate 20191127-MH63347); it applies to the WellWall phenolic board only, not to PIR. What is the difference between phenolic and PIR pre-insulated duct?
Both combine duct and insulation in one panel. Phenolic (WellWall) panels have a documented thermal conductivity of 0.021 W/(m·K) and are documented to UL 181 as a Class 1 air duct (UL file MH63347). PIR is the alternative core. For a full comparison see our GI vs PI duct guide.
Where should I use PI duct instead of GI duct?

Do you provide installation and maintenance instructions for PI duct?
Standard GI and pre-insulated (PI) duct orders are usually ready within 2 working days of order confirmation. Large or special orders are scheduled with you when we quote.
Is there a minimum order quantity?

Do you deliver for free?
Delivery is free within Doha for duct orders above 100 m² and for accessory orders above QAR 6,000. Delivery to other areas of Qatar is available; ask for the cost with your quote.
