Overview

A fire damper closes a duct where it passes through a fire-rated wall or floor, so that fire does not spread through the opening. Our fire dampers are UL 555 listed and tested to 1.5-hour and 3-hour ratings, in galvanized steel with curtain-blade or multi-blade designs; a factory-installed sleeve and retaining angles are available as options. The fusible link releases at 74 °C (165 °F) as standard, or at 100 °C (212 °F) as the high-temperature option. The datasheet covers Model FD-SL, a slimline static curtain fire damper for static systems in which the fans turn off in a fire; it can be installed vertically or horizontally. An access panel is needed for periodic inspection and reset.
