Overview

The opposed blade damper is an aluminium accessory fitted behind the diffuser neck or inside the plenum box, used to adjust the airflow at each outlet when the HVAC system is balanced during commissioning. Its linked blades regulate the flow evenly across the full face with low resistance and minimal pressure loss. It suits supply and return air, comes in a wide range of diffuser sizes and fits the CCD and CTD diffuser ranges. The square ceiling diffuser datasheet lists the OBD among its accessories.
