Overview

Foam gasket tape is a single-sided closed-cell EVA foam tape with an EPDM rubber pressure-sensitive adhesive that seals the faces of duct flanges. When the flange is bolted, the tape compresses into an airtight seal. It is used on GI and PI duct connections and comes as FireShield types 504–508: 15, 19 and 25 mm wide, 3, 6 and 8 mm thick, on 7.5 m or 10 m rolls, with temperature resistance to 100 °C and adhesion to steel of 1000 g/25 mm.
