A flexible duct connector is a fabric joint fitted between an air handling unit or fan and the rigid ductwork, so that vibration is not passed into the duct. The Tecnoflex connector has 0.7 mm galvanized steel plates with PVC-coated polyester (−30 to +80 °C), neoprene-coated fibreglass (−30 to +150 °C) or silicone-coated fibreglass (−50 to +250 °C), and is manufactured per UL 181 Class 1. An insulated connector with 25 mm, 12 kg/m³ fibreglass is available, as are canvas, stainless or aluminium connectors on request.
